About us

It was from a building completely in ruins, as if it were a blank sheet of paper, that we idealised our Vila Município flats, located in the historic area of Sintra, managed with a lot of love, passion and dedication, in a family atmosphere!It has been an adventure and a challenge in which Renovating, Creating, Welcoming, Passion and Dedication have been and still are present at every step. From the refurbishment of the building to the decoration of each of the flats, we have taken every care to provide all the comforts and features as if it were our own home!Our main aim is for our guests to feel at home and to be able to make the most of all the experiences in and around the beautiful and romantic town of Sintra!More than just a place to sleep, our flats are a place where our guests can stay and enjoy all the comforts and amenities.We try to be there for our guests at all times, whether it's before they book, providing information and answering questions, during their stay providing exclusive tips on local attractions, and even after their stay ... in many cases we still find ourselves providing tips on our little Portugal, which is huge in culture, places to explore, food and wines to die for, and of course the unique hospitality of the Portuguese.

A family atmosphere and Portuguese hospitality in which everything is done with Passion, Love and Dedication to provide the best experience for our guests.In each of our 4 flats, we offer all the amenities you need, from a full kitchen with all the necessary utensils and equipment (oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, glasses, plates, pots, etc.), 4K TV, air conditioning, full bathroom, free WiFi, in short ...we know that travelling to win the world is much desired, but we also know that sometimes travelling and being away from home can be very stressful and disappointing! ...We believe that at Vila Município, where hospitality, generosity and human closeness meet style and comfort, you'll find everything you're looking for and more!

Experience

Because we want our guests to be concerned only with enjoying their stay and all the experiences that Sintra and the surrounding area has to offer, we strive for a carefully prepared Customer Experience, from the moment of booking to the end of the stay, where we provide:- Arrival Information (what you need to know for check-in, various useful information about the flat, Wi-Fi, location, parking tips, etc.).- Welcome Information (our advice on restaurants, parking tips, beaches, walks, cafés, websites with suggested walks, information on tickets and places to visit, groceries, house rules, check-out information, supermarkets, etc.). And where we are always available to help in any way we can!

Restaurant

In addition to the amenities and hospitality offered at our Vila Município Apartments, we invite you to visit the Taverna do Município, which is right next to our flats and where you can enjoy delicious octopus, codfish, steak, salads, toasties, cheese/sausage boards and excellent wine!Although it's an independently run space, it's also run by our family and often serves as a support and help centre for our guests.
