Sintra,an enchanting village and UNESCO World Heritage Site, is known for its majestic palaces, lush gardens and magical atmosphere that attracts visitors from all over the world. Located between the mountains and the sea, it is a destination that combines history, culture and nature.


Sintra has so much to offer, from castles, palaces, culture, gardens, hiking, contact with nature, beaches, ... so the idea that 1 or 2 days is enough to visit Sintra is misleading and doesn't allow you to really get to know and enjoy all that Sintra has to offer!

Palaces and Castles



There are countless monuments to visit in Sintra, from palaces, castles, gardens, chalets, convents and farms, and the only difficulty is choosing where to start.Some examples: Palácio Nacional da Pena, Palácio Nacional de Sintra, Quinta da Regaleira, Castelo dos Mouros, Chalet da Condessa d'Edla, Palácio de Monserrate, Convento dos Capuchos, Palácio Biester, Palácio de Queluz and many other places.

Hiking



For lovers of walking arm in arm with nature, monuments and viewpoints, Sintra offers countless alternatives and it's best to be careful not to get lost. There are walks for all tastes and difficulties, and mountain biking is also an alternative to consider, with several trails in the Serra de Sintra.Some examples: From the Rio da Mula Dam to Pedra Amarela, the Cabo da Roca trail ‘Where the land ends and the sea begins’, etc. With a simple search you'll find countless routes.

Landscapes and viewpoints



The Serra de Sintra has countless points of interest, with landscapes and viewpoints that deserve to be discovered on foot, by bicycle or by car when possible.Some examples: Miradouro da Correnteza, Miradouro de Santa Eufémia, Cascata de Beckford, Miradouro das Azenhas do Mar, Cabo da Roca, Convento dos Capuchos, Peninha, and we could go on and on.

Beaches



For those who are more of a beach person, there is no shortage of options, from the most crowded to the most deserted, whether it's just to take a dip or go surfing or bodyboarding, there are beaches to suit all tastes.Some examples: Praia Grande, Azenhas do Mar, Magoito, Adraga, Ursa, Aguda, Maçãs, Samarra, and there are also the beaches of Guincho, Cascais and Ericeira right next door.

- You can take the opportunity to visit Monserrate Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, and go hiking in the Sintra hills to Pena Palace, Moorish Castle or Capuchos Convent.- Take a trip on the Sintra Tram to Praia das Maçãs .- Visit the beautiful village of Azenhas do Mar, situated on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, where you can watch an impressive sunset.
